Following an interest in grape growing and wine making while at school Petter has had a long and varied career in the wine industry. He studied viticulture and oenology at Roseworthy in South Australia and from there worked in Australia and Germany, before returning to New Zealand where he worked in a number of regions before settling in Waipara at Sherwood Estate.
Petter has a great interest in wines from all over the world and wines from Burgundy (chablis, white and red burgundy) are of particular interest. He has a keen interest in trying new foods as well as cooking, travel, running, biking and skiing.
