Entries Are Open For The 2024 Aotearoa Regional Wine Competition!

There Are Two Categories You Can Enter!

The Aotearoa Regional Wine Competition (ARWC)

where you can win best in class, gold, silver & bronze medals. Medals are awarded on varietal success like a traditional wine competition, any New Zealand wine can enter this competition.

The Regional Champion Competition (RCC)

where you can win our unique regional wine medals. An additional optional category in the competition, the requirement to enter this category is that your wine must be produced with at least 85% of grapes from a single New Zealand region.

Entries close Wednesday 17 July
Judging dates Saturday 27 - Sunday 28 July

Entries are $70, with the RCC being a free additional category to enter after you have entered the ARWC

This year the highest scoring wine in the Aotearoa Regional Wine Competition will receive a $5,000 MediaWorks voucher to advertise your products or business!

You'll also have the special oportunity to go onto one of the most well regarded wine lists in the country thanks to our naming rights sponsor The George!

MediaWorks are also running a four week campaign promoting the competition and its results, with the winners being announced on The Breeze by Hilary Muir!

The ARWC is only wine competition in the country that is dedicated to championing and promoting our countries regional uniqueness by awarding wine medals for not only varietal excellence but also additional medals for regional excellence!
